Faster Diagnosis Standards Improvement Programme 2025

This is an Improvement Programme focused on improving the prostate cancer diagnostic pathway by equipping healthcare professionals with the leadership skills needed to drive improvement. Aligned with the NHS Faster Diagnosis Standards, our goal is to support NHS Trusts
Our leadership programme is open to clinicians and professionals with the expertise and ambition to optimise the diagnostic pathway. We’re inviting colleagues in pairs from Trusts and Cancer Alliances from across the UK to apply.
Our wider aim:
Our programme supports professionals to take the lead in ensuring:
· Early Detection
· Faster Diagnosis
· Reduced wait times
· A resource efficient streamlined pathway
This programme will focus on developing transformational leaders through:
· Leadership and improvement theory
· Opportunities to put theory and new skills into practice
· Peer support and learning
· Individual and group coaching
· Hearing from and networking with inspiring leaders who have driven change in this field
· Support to develop an improvement plan
· Ongoing support from Prostate Cancer UK through our alumni network

Programme details:
All virtual sessions will be hosted on Microsoft Teams.
- Welcome session (virtual) – Thursday 27 March 2025, 7 – 9pm
- Module 1 (virtual) – Tuesday 1 April 2025, 9 – 12noon
- Module 2 and module 3 (in-person) – Wednesday 30 April – Thursday 1 May: this is a 2-day event which may require an overnight stay and is due to be held in Manchester (exact venue to be confirmed).
- Module 4 (virtual) – Wednesday 16 July 2025, 9-12noon

· Understand how to overcome barriers to change
· Build your resilience as an improvement leader

· Have a chance to workshop your pathway project
· Receive coaching from our Insights Practitioners
