This is a Primary Care Improvement programme focused on improving prostate cancer care by equipping primary care professionals with the leadership skills needed to drive improvement.

The programme is open to primary care professionals across the UK with the clinical expertise, leadership potential, and enthusiasm to lead and drive change to ensure an optimised patient experience and care.

This programme will focus on developing transformational leaders through:

· Leadership and improvement theory

· Opportunities to put theory and new skills into practice 

· Peer support and learning

· Individual and group coaching

· Hearing from and networking with inspiring leaders

· Support to develop an improvement plan

· Ongoing support from Prostate Cancer UK through an alumni network

Programme details:

All virtual sessions will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. 

  • Welcome session (virtual) – Wednesday 17 April 2024, 7-      9pm 
  • Module 1 (virtual) – Wednesday 24 April 2024,      9-12noon 
  • Module 2 (virtual) – Thursday 9 May 2024, 9-12noon 
  • Module 3 (face to face) – Tuesday 21 May 2024,      10-4pm 
  • Module 4 (virtual) – Thursday 19 September      2024, 9-12noon

· Develop your personal impact and influence

· Develop an improvement plan with an experienced coach

· Understand how to overcome barriers to change

· Build your resilience as an improvement leader

Sexual Wellbeing Improvement Programme 2024 

Applications close Wednesday 8 May 2024,11.59pm. This is a Sexual Wellbeing Improvement programme focused on improving the sexual wellbeing provision for men impacted by prostate cancer. By equipping professionals with the leadership skills needed to drive improvement. 

The programme is open to professionals across the UK with the clinical expertise, leadership potential, and enthusiasm to lead and drive change to ensure an optimised patient experience and care. 

Our wider aim:   

Our programme supports professionals to take the lead in enhancing:  

Improve 

•  access to information and support on sexual wellbeing 

•  access to holistic support that explores ‘sexual wellbeing’ rather than solely the concern of sexual function or erectile dysfunction. 

Ensure

• Men feel confident and empowered to speak to a professional regarding their sexual wellbeing 

• Men have a positive experience 

• Men feel empowered 

• Men feel in control 

• Men can access psychosexual support such as sexual counselling / relationship counselling 

• Have equitable access to sexual wellbeing regardless of sexual orientation

Experience 

• well-coordinated support around sexual wellbeing 

• sustainable support well incorporated into the pathway

Understand

• Understand support is also available for partners and how to access it 

• Understand they can access support regardless of sexual orientation
